Hello! My name is Dominic Affinito. My friends call me Doc. In my career, I've mostly had high-risk jobs: military, fire service, crop duster pilot, flight instructor, Risk Manager, and accident investigator in the insurance industry. I saw firsthand how quickly things can go wrong, so I incorporated my aviation skills into my motorcycle riding
Last year, I decided to take my riding to the next level by taking some advanced riding classes. But beyond the basic MFS course (which is a great place to start a riding career), there isn’t much advanced training available in Montana.
In my search for advanced-level training, I found two things that stood out. 1. You are 28 times more likely to die on a motorcycle than in a motor vehicle. From 2020- 2024, 159 Montana motorcyclists lost their lives on Montana roads. That is 31.8 lives per year- nearly one every 11days; 3 of those fatalities were in Billings. MDT identifies Yellowstone County among the populous counties where the majority of Montana's motorcycle fatalities are concentrated. 2. ProRiderMC. America's Premier Advanced Motorcycle Training School. After speaking with ProRiderMC, I decided to join the team. So, I packed a bag, flew to Oregon, completed 40 hours of intense Police Motor Officer Training, and started ProRider Mountain West.
At ProRider Mountain West, my mission is simple: help riders develop a higher level of skill and ability, enhance situational awareness, and cultivate a safer, more prepared mindset for riding. Our Advanced
Motor Officer Skills Training is next-level and introduces riders to techniques used by police motor officers.
I invite you to join me in our quest to make riding Montana’s highways and streets safer for everyone. Together, we will build your confidence, improve your riding skills, have some fun, and maybe even help save a life in the process.
